Kroon Greenhouse

B.A.P. Nursery. We installed 60,000 square feet of Kroon structures at B.A.P. Nursery, a grower of potted flowering plants in San Marcos, California. The greenhouses utilize natural ventilation with gutter vents as well as mechanical cooling with roof-mounted fans and evaporative cooling pads.

Says B.A.P.'s Willi Voelker, "We are extremely pleased with the level of expertise and service that we received from CriderAmericas. It soon became obvious that we could rely on them from the planning stages to the completion of the project and they never let us down."

Citrus Research Board. The 40,000 square feet that we built for the Citrus Research Board uses natural ventilation with insect screen as covering to block the entryways of potentially harmful and damaging insects.

Jardine Greenhouse

Mandalay Bay Resort. The high temperatures in Las Vegas, where we built greenhouse structures for Mandalay Bay Resort, required that the houses be equipped with natural ventilation using ridge vents as well as mechanical cooling with fans and cooling pads.

U.C. Riverside. The Jardine system that we installed for The University of California, Riverside, is equipped for mechanical cooling using positive pressure cooling.

Olive Hill Greenhouses. Olive Hill Greenhouses, a producer of foliage plants and bomeliads in Fallbrook, California, uses the Jardine system as head houses.

Vanalphen Greenhouse

EuroAmerican Propagators. We installed 90,000 square feet of Vanalphen structures for EuroAmerican Propagators, a young plant producer in Bonsall, California. The system uses natural ventilation with gutter vents and drop-down curtains.

"Our Vanalphen greenhouse from CriderAmericas is exactly right for our needs here in Southern California," say Jerry Church and John Rader of EuroAmerican. "And CriderAmericas made sure that the whole planning and construction process was very smooth and without any delays and headaches."

Mountain View Nursery. The 82,000 square feet that we built for Mountain View Nursery, a grower of indoor tropical plants in San Marcos, California, uses mechanical cooling with roof-mounted fans and evaporative cooling.

Hines Nurseries. Hines Nurseries in Fallbrook, California, is equipped with 160,000 square feet of Vanalphen structures with natural ventilation through center arch vents, while its Fulshear, Texas, location installed 175,000 square feet with natural ventilation through gutter vents.

Shipping Docks

Seville Farms. A challenging situation at Seville Farms in Lillian, Texas, was solved with 39,000 square feet of custom-built shipping docks with natural ventilation using gutter vents. Bobby Brentlinger of Seville Farms says, "We were worried about finding the right shipping dock for our particular situation, and couldn't quite figure out how to solve the problem. CriderAmericas designed and manufactured an excellent structure for us, very functional and efficient."

Heat Retention Curtain

Heat retention curtains are becoming increasingly popular. Recently, we installed 120,000 square feet for EuroAmerican Propagators, 140,000 square feet for Rote Greenhouses, and 50,000 square feet for Twin Oaks Growers International as an essential part of their energy conservation program.

Rote Greenhouses. Michael Rote, Rote Greenhouses (pictured), says, "We are very pleased with the Heat Retention Curtain System supplied by CriderAmericas. We are saving in excess of 50% on our heating cost as a result of the installation."

Benches, Retrofits

We have designed and installed benching systems for growers from various greenhouse industry segments, including Foothill Tropicals, Mountain View Nursery, and Olive Hill Greenhouses.

Olive Hill Greenhouses. "CriderAmericas has custom designed benches for our specific needs," says Tony Godfrey (pictured). "They provide us material with much higher amounts of zinc coating than the industry standard to insure longer life in our corrosive environment."

Village Nurseries. Says Mike Babineau of Village Nurseries: "CriderAmericas has offered many practical solutions for our specific needs, from retrofitting obsolete greenhouses to supplying cost-effective cold frames and shade houses. They have always been dependable and prompt."
